2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Review

Kia Picanto

Kia will enter the Indian car market sometime next year. With the popularity of small cars growing in India, we expect the company’s Picanto hatchback will be one of its future bestsellers. The car shares its foundations with Hyundai Grand i10 but is comparatively smaller in size, which would make is sportier to drive. We also expect it will share the same engine options as its Hyundai sibling.

Tata Tiago Sport JTP

Tata Showcased a hot hatch version of its Tiago hatchback. The car gets a contrasting and sportier paint scheme and features a 110PS engine which it shares with the Nexon SUV. Some of the other design updates include smoked headlamps, 15-inch machine-cut wheels, contrasting red rearview mirrors and black roof.

2018 Honda Jazz

The premium hatchback from Honda got a facelift. On the exterior, the Honda Jazz gets a redesigned bumper and the headlamp cluster now comes with LED DRLs. There is no new engine option on offer, but the updated hatchback gets some new features inside the cabin. We expect the Japanese carmaker to launch the updated hatch by May 2018.

Hyundai i20 Facelift

Hyundai launched the facelift of its premium hatchback, the Elite i20 at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. The car gets a redesigned grille, two new contrasting colour schemes and redesigned taillights. On the inside, new features like Hyundai Auto Link support, Arkamys sound tuning, updated 7-inch touchscreen Infotainment system and Hyundai iblue Android-based remote have also been incorporated. The car was launched with a starting price of 5.35 Lakh Lakh(ex-showroom).

2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti launched the next generation of its Swift hatchback at the Expo and it comes with a price tag of Rs. 4.99 Lakh(ex-showroom). The car gets a new Heartect platform, this makes the new car relatively lighter and more spacious than its predecessor. In terms of the engine options, there is no change. However, the 2018 Swift is now available with AMT gearbox which will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants like Dzire. New safety features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, brake assist are now standard for the base model. The new car also comes with a touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
