Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard price in india

Ducati has added a new premium model in its Scrambler range of motorcycles, the Urban Motard. Priced at Rs 11.49 lakh, the new Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard joins the Icon, Icon Dark, Nightshift and Deser Sled versions in the Scrambler range for the Indian two-wheeler market. For India, the new Scrambler Urban Motard has been launched in a single dual-tone white and red colour scheme, which has been named ‘Star White Silk and Red GP’.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard – What’s different from other Scramblers?

The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard retains many components from the other versions of the Scrambler, but it gets a distinctive frontal stance with the high-mounted red-coloured mudguard. The fuel tank here comes in a dual-tone theme with ‘Scrambler’ graphics on it. The motorcycle also has different white-coloured side panels.

Here in the Urban Motard, the motorcycle gets 17-inch spoke wheels at both ends, which come shod with 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres. The Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard has a slightly sportier ergonomic setup with a lower-set aluminium handlebar. While the engine has been retained from the other Scramblers, the engine here gets black-finished heads with brushed fins and machined aluminium belt covers.

Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard – What remains unchanged?

Like every other 800cc iteration of Ducati Scrambler, the Urban Motard also gets a four-stroke, air-cooled, L-twin, 803cc engine. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, which is also assisted with a slipper clutch, this engine produces 73 bhp @ 8,250 rpm of maximum power and 66.2 Nm @ 5,750 rpm of peak torque output.

Apart from the engine, the other mechanical parts of the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard are shared with the Icon and Nightshift variants of the Scrambler. It means that the motorcycle gets 41mm upside-down Kayaba forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The motorcycle gets the same braking setup as other Scramblers – a single 330mm disc with a radially-mounted Brembo calliper at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear. The braking system is assisted with cornering ABS from Bosch as standard.

Other features of the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard include the optional Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), with which you can pair a smartphone with the instrument console of the motorcycle. The list of standard features includes a fully-digital single-pod instrument console, under-seat USB charging socket, halogen headlamp with circular daytime running LED, LED tail light and LED turn indicators. It also gets a flat cushioned seat, lower fork protectors and rear tyre hugger with a license plate holder.
