2021 Skoda Octavia Officially Unveiled Ahead of its Launch, To Be Available in Two Variants

Skoda India has finally lifted off the curtains from the all-new Octavia sedan in the Indian car market, before its official launch on June 10. Launched originally back in 2001, the Skoda Octavia has now entered in the fourth generation and is one of the most prominent launches by the Czech car maker in the country this year.
Here are the five key aspects of the new 2021 Skoda Octavia, which one should know ahead of its launch:
2021 Skoda Octavia: Exterior Design
The all-new 2021 Skoda Octavia features a completely new design, which looks sharper and much more stylish. At the front, there is a new chrome surrounded grille with tapered edges, all-new bi-LED projector headlamps (replacing the older quad-headlamp setup), dual L-shaped LED daytime running lamps and sleeker-looking LED fog lamps.
The new 2021 Skoda Octavia features a coupe-like roofline and multi-spoke 17-inch wheels in its side profile. And at the back, the new Skoda Octavia features a stubby boot design that gets sharper-looking tail lamps with inverted L-shaped LED inserts.
With a length of 4689mm, 1469mm of height, 1829mm of width and 2686mm of wheelbase, the new Skoda Octavia is bigger than the model it replaced.
2021 Skoda Octavia: Interior Cabin and Features
For the Indian car market, the 2021 Skoda Octavia has been a given a dual-tone black and beige upholstery for its interior cabin. The cabin looks classy and futuristic with an all-new virtual cockpit design for its instrument console, two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, full leather upholstery and electronic parking brake and a minimalist gear lever which features shift-by-wire technology.
Other noteworthy and premium features of the 2021 Skoda Octavia include wireless charger for smartphones, push button start with keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, powered front seats with memory function, powered tail gate, LED reading lamps, 12-speaker Canton audio system and configurable ambient lighting.
As like before, the new 2021 Skoda Octavia features best-in-class 600 liters of boot space, which can be expanded up to 1,555 liters after folding the rear seats, which come with 60:40 split theme.
2021 Skoda Octavia: Engine and Transmission
The new 2021 Skoda Octavia is now available as a petrol-only model, like the rest of the vehicles from Skoda. It gets the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged TSI petrol engine that powers the bigger Skoda Superb.
Here, in the Skoda Octavia, this engine is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard, and belts out 190 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of maximum torque.
2021 Skoda Octavia: Safety Features
The comprehensive list of safety features in the new 2021 Skoda Octavia include eight airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, adaptive front headlamps, multi-collision brake, electronic differential lock, driver fatigue alert, etc.
2021 Skoda Octavia: Variants and Color Options
The new 2021 Skoda Octavia range is now restricted to just two variants – Style and Laurin & Klement.
While the Style variant comes with three color options of Lava Blue, Magic Black and Candy White, the Laurin & Klement variant too gets all these three color options, in addition to the Brilliant Silver and Maple Brown paint schemes.
