The Honda Shine has been reigning the 125cc commuter segment for almost two decades now, and even today, the latest iteration of the 125cc Honda Shine sells even more than many 100-110cc motorcycles. To capitalize on the craze of the festive season and the increasing demand for two-wheelers in this duration, Honda is currently offering a “Super 6 Offers” scheme on the 125cc Honda Shine.

For those who are willing to bring home a new Honda Shine this festive season, Honda is currently offering a bunch of benefits on the Shine commuter range, including both the 100cc and 125cc models. All these offers are predominantly offered to those who are willing to buy a new Honda Shine on finance or an EMI scheme on credit cards.

The benefits start with a zero downpayment scheme on Honda Shine, which is beneficial for those who want to take home a new two-wheeler without paying anything upfront. The customers of Honda Shine will also get the added benefit of no-cost EMI, which is a great scheme saving unnecessary expenditure on interests over the load duration. However, these two benefits are only offered under special conditions or specific documentation requirements.

For those who might not be eligible for the no-cost EMI and zero downpayment schemes, Honda is offering another benefit of a low-interest rate of 6.99 per cent on the two-wheeler loan, which is currently the lowest for a new two-wheeler. In addition, Honda is also not charging any hypothecation (HPN) fee to the customers of Honda Shine, which will bring in a few more cost savings.

If someone wishes to buy a new Honda Shone on a credit card scheme offered by banks and institutions like IndusInd, Federal Bank, AU Small Finance Bank and IDFC First Bank, Honda is also giving up benefits up to 10 per cent of cashback of loan amount, which is capped till Rs 5,000.

About Honda Shine 125

Among all the 125cc commuter motorcycles sold in India right now, the Honda Shine is the oldest nameplate, which has received consistent updates all these years to feel relevant and up-to-date. The current iteration of the Honda Shine is available in two variants – one with a front drum brake (Rs 79,800) and one with a front disc brake (Rs 83,800).

Both the variants of the Honda Shine 125 feature single-tone colour options with chrome inserts on the headlamp cowl and side body panels and graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. The Shine is powered by a single-cylinder 123.94cc engine capable of producing 10.74 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque, while paired to a 5-speed transmission.

Riding on 80/100-18 tyres at both ends, the Shine 125 gets conventional telescopic forks at the front and adjustable coil springs at the rear. The motorcycle comes with 130mm drum brakes as standard, with the option of a 240mm disc brake at the front. The colour options available for the Honda Shine 125 are Black, Genny Grey Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic and Matte Axis Grey.

About Honda Shine 100

Capitalizing on the popularity of the Shine nameplate, Honda introduced its first-ever 100cc motorcycle with the name “Shine 100” a few months ago. Positioned below the CD110 Dream, the Honda Shine 100 comes in a single variant, which is offered for Rs 64,900 and in five colours, namely Black with Red, Black with Gold, Black with Blue, Black with Green and Black with Grey.

The Honda Shine is powered by a single-cylinder 98.98cc engine, which is grounds-up developed for the Shine 100 to take on motorcycles like Hero Splendor+ and Bajaj Platina. Paired with a 4-speed transmission, this engine produces 7.38 PS of maximum power and 8.05 Nm of maximum torque. The motorcycle looks inspired by the design of the CD110 Dream and Shine 125, which looks simple to the eye and has black alloy wheels as standard.

Under the skin, the Honda Shine 100 is quite basic with a suspension combination of telescopic forks at the front and coil springs at the rear. The motorcycle rides on skinny 2.75-18 front and 3.00-18 rear tyres, with it having 130mm front and 110mm rear drum brakes.
