Morris Garages has launched the 2021 MG ZS EV facelift in India at the price tag of Rs 20.99 (ex-showroom). The car has been in the market for just a year and looking at the huge potential in the Indian EV market, MG seems to have come up with the facelift of the ZS EV at a very right time. At present, it has only two rivals in India – Hyundai Kona and Tata Nexon.

The auto maker has offered the ZS EV 2021  in two variants, the Excite and the Exclusive. As compared to the outgoing model, the new facelifted avatar of the ZS EV sees various changes that make it more valuable in the segment.

This UK born electric car now gets an all-new 44.5 kWh battery pack that remarkably increases its drive range to 419 kilometres. As per the company, the new HT battery pack has been tested under various weather conditions and under practical conditions, the all-new ZS EV facelift will have a drive range between 300 to 400 kilometres. Besides this, the EV also sports new set of tyres and now has an increased ground clearance.

The car has also been accredited with a 5-star NCAP safety rating and will now be offered with an onboard charging cable. In addition, the buyers of this EV will be benefitted through various newly introduced features in this EV.

The MG ZS EV 2021 now gets various impressive features such as 8-inches touchscreen infotainment that supports various connectivity options, 6 airbags, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, heated power folding ORVMs, leather seats, rain sensing wipers, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seats, i-SMART EV 2.0 connected car features and more.

MG ZS EV 2021 also comes with an impressive performance and the can easily clock speed range of 0-100 kms in just 8.5 seconds. Its highly efficient motor churns out maximum power of 143 PS.

Morris Garages (MG) has commented that the auto maker is in progress of expanding the EV charging infrastructure in the country and will also offer to its buyers a complimentary wall-charge unit. This wall-charge unit can be installed free of cost at customer’s preferred location.

MG Motor India is also offering a very impressive warranty package with the new MG ZS EV facelift. The battery pack will be offered with 8-years of standard warranty. Moreover, the car maker is offering 5-years of unlimited kilometres warranty or 1.50 lakh kilometres. In addition to this, 5-free labour services, 5-way charging infrastructure and 5-years of road side assistance are offered to its buyers.

The company has partnered with Tata Power and Fortum to offer the buyers of ZS EV a proper charging infrastructure. In addition, the car maker has also onboarded various other companies to set up charging stations.

The prices of 2021 MG ZS EV variants, Excite and Exclusive, are Rs 20.99 lakh and Rs 24.18 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi prices mentioned).
