Audi Q2 SUV Launched At Rs 34.99 Lakh! Big Money For A Small Car?



The Q2 becomes the most affordable offering from Audi in India.

The German luxury marquee Audi has launched its baby Q – Audi Q2 – in India at Rs 34.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV comes in five variants and a single 2.0-litre TFSi turbo-petrol engine option. It will be available in the country as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). It competes with the likes of BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Skoda Kodiaq TSI, Volvo XC40 and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.

What are the engine options in Audi Q2?

As aforementioned, it gets a single petrol engine option – a 2.0-litre TFSI turbo-petrol. It develops a maximum power of 190PS along with a peak torque of 320Nm. The power is transferred to wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine and transmission options are sourced from the Group’s another crossover – the VW Allspace.

The Audi Q2 is a compact SUV with a clean layout. Unlike the European markets, the automaker has decided to launch the pre-facelift model of the Q2 in India. It gets a variety of exciting paint options to choose from.


Audi Q2 Interior

Being an older model, the interior echoes the simplicity of the exterior. The dashboard is tastefully designed and looks elegant. The cabin will feel similar to that of the Audi A3 sedan. You get a decent list of features such as dual-zone climate control, cruise control, wireless phone charger, digital instrument cluster, auto LED headlamps and keyless entry.

The German automaker, however, has given a non-touchscreen infotainment system and has axed the power-adjustable feature from front seats. It gets ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors along with many other features expected from this segment cars.
