In a brave move, Indian Motorcycles have slashed prices across its entire India lineup including the Indian Scout Sixty and the Indian Roadmaster by up to Rs 3 lakh. The joy of drop in prices comes after the government reduced custom duty on CBUs (Completely Built Units) from earlier 75 percent to 50 percent.
Indian Motorcycles most affordable offering in the country, the Indian Scout Sixty witnesses a drop of Rs 29,500, whereas its formidable Scout Bobber is a lakh economical now. Buyers looking for the powerful Chief Dark Horse can now save huge sum of Rs 2.44 lakh!
However, it’s not the only bikemaker that has reduced prices, other motorcycle manufacturers getting their vehicles via CBU route have also decided to extend this benefit to their customers.
We believe there was no good time to slash prices as this, as country’s appetite for high-end, retro-styled bikes is on an all-time. The overwhelming success of the Royal Enfield is a testament to this fact. The motorcycle enthusiasts are looking for ways to look different, and the massive drop will help them in working out their way.
In India, the American automaker currently retails Indian Scout Sixty, Indian Scout, Indian Scout Bobber, Indian Chief Dark Horse, Indian Chief Classic, Indian Chief Vintage, Indian Springfield, Indian Chieftain and the Indian Roadmaster.
