Miami, 3rd December 2024 – Jaguar has taken a bold step in its journey of transformation, revealing the spectacular Type 00 concept at Miami Art Week. This striking design vision concept represents not just a car, but a fearless statement about Jaguar’s future, a fusion of modern luxury, innovative design, and an uncompromising commitment to its founder’s philosophy of “Copy Nothing.”

The Type 00 is more than just a car; it’s a vision brought to life. It encapsulates Jaguar’s creative philosophy of Exuberant Modernism, boldly defying conventional electric vehicle design. Having a long bonnet and sweeping roofline, together with dramatic 23-inch alloy wheels attached, Type 00 poses as a silhouette that can be sophisticated and futuristic. It is a design that commands attention, celebrates art, and frames every curve and line to inspire.

A Fearless Design Statement

Jaguar’s commitment to its rich heritage shines through in the Type 00. The car showcases the brand’s new visual identity, which draws from its iconic past while looking boldly to the future. The distinctive new face features flush surfaces, a glassless rear tailgate, and a panoramic roof with body-harmonised glazing, creating a sculptural and dynamic presence. It’s more than just a car, it’s a piece of art on wheels.

Available in two striking colours, Miami Pink and London Blue. The Type 00 reflects the vibrant Art Deco surroundings of Miami and the British roots of Jaguar. Miami Pink is inspired by the city’s pastel architecture, while London Blue draws from the iconic hues of Jaguar’s British heritage.

Jaguar’s Electric Future

The Type 00 marks the beginning of Jaguar’s transformation into an all-electric brand. Powered by Jaguar’s dedicated Electric Architecture (JEA), it will be truly the foundation for a future generation of vehicles designed to provide thrilling performance and exceptional comfort. The four-door electric GT is quite something. Early 2025 will mark the moment when it lays out its capability-inspiring range: up to 770km (478 miles) under a single charge and a capability to deliver an amazing 321km (200 miles) in charging over a 15-minute interval.

A Sensory Experience Inside and Out

Inside, the Type 00 exudes the same dramatic design language, with a cabin that blends art and technology. The dramatic butterfly doors reveal a modernist interior, featuring a 3.2-meter brass spine running the length of the cabin and floating instrument panels. Also, the materials used, including brass, travertine stone, and tactile textiles, create a unique atmosphere that feels both luxurious and grounded in craftsmanship.

Jaguar’s commitment to a sensory experience is evident in every detail. The body-harmonised glazed roof casts a subtle pattern onto the interior, transforming the cabin throughout the day. Moreover, the Prism case, an innovative feature, allows occupants to customize the interior’s mood by selecting natural totems, brass, travertine, or alabaster, each influencing the cabin’s lighting, sound, and scent.

An Artful Debut at Miami Art Week

Jaguar’s presence at Miami Art Week underscores its deep connection to the world of art and creativity. As the title sponsor of Art Miami, Jaguar presented “Jaguar. Exuberance.” – an immersive exploration of the brand’s new visual language featuring works by British artists. Additionally, the Type 00 was presented at the Copy Nothing installation with a direct reference to the brand’s philosophy with the world of contemporary art.
