The pricing has left its rivals spellbound as it was expected higher but, it is not only aggressive but even undercuts some the cars in the segment below. Without further ado, let’s check out the five most interesting facts about the Kia Seltos:

Spoiled for choices

Kia has gone several notches above when it comes to offering variant choices. There are in all 16 variants, 3 engines and 4 transmission options (last time didn’t see any carmaker do that). On top of that Kia offers GT Line and Tech Line as separate trims for exterior and interior treatment.

Tempting technology

The Seltos is host of technological gizmos; it gets a 10.25 inch HD touchscreen unit with advance 7.0 Colour display panel which not only raises the premium feel of the cabin but also cuts distraction while driving. The 360 degree view camera covers the blind area as well. Besides convenience, it adds to the safety of the Seltos while driving. The smart 8.0-inch heads-up display in the visibility line of the driver reduces distraction. Segment-first ventilated front seats & driver power seat add another feather in its crown. It even gets a smart air-purifier to keep the cabin environment pleasant, always.

Connected car

Not as connected as the MG Hector but the Kia Seltos definitely gives you a new experience. Available with both Android and iOS, the UVO tech offers 37 smart features and 3 years of free subscription. You can set smart pure air, remotely start engine and control AC and emergency assistance with dedicated 24×7 call centre. Moreover, it sends live traffic information, displays 3D maps for enhanced user experience, auto-collision notification, AI-based voice assistance & sends destination route to car.

Made in India for India

Kia Motors has specifically designed this compact SUV for the Indian market. First showcased as a concept (codenamed SP Concept) at the 2018 Auto Expo, the Seltos immediately grabbed attention at the mega event. Kia ensured there was minimal difference between the concept and the production version. The enthusiasm reflected in its bookings too which received over 32,000 registrations stretching the Seltos waiting period by up to 2 months.
