In the recently concluded Auto Expo, many Indian and international car brands showcased their upcoming cars. In the coming months of 2018, we are going to see a lot of new car launches. So here’s our list of Top 10 Expected Car Launches in 2018:

1. Honda Amaze

New Honda Amaze Unveiled At The Auto Expo 2018

Made its debut in the 2018 Auto Expo, is Honda’s second generation compact sedan that shares the design with Accord.

Features

  • Petrol variant – Powered by 88bhp, 1.2 litre petrol engine
  • Diesel variant – Powered by 100hp, 1.5 litre diesel engine
  • 5-speed manual transmission
  • Expected to be launch in the first half of 2018

2. Ford Figo & Ford Aspire facelift

The updated Figo hatchback and Aspire sedan will have some changes from their predecessors in the inside as well as outside.

Features

  • All new 96hp, 1.2 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine
  • Fords new Dragon series of petrol motors recently debuted on Freestyle cross-hatch
  • This will replace the currently used 1.2 litre, 4 cylinder Sigma petrol
  • P.S. – 1.5 litre petrol Dragon series engine was used for the fisrt time in EcoSport facelift
  • Expected to be launch in March 2018

3. Toyota Yaris

Rival to Hyundai Verna and Honda City, it was recently showcased in Auto Expo 2018 and is expected to be the next big thing from Toyota in the Indian market.

Features

  • 108hp, 1.5 litre petrol engine
  • 6-speed manual transmission as standard, optional 7 step CVT automatic
  • A powered driver’s seat, front parking sensors
  • Expected to be launch in May 2018

4. Mahindra MPV

It will be Mahindra’s first monocoque-bodied MPV. It will stand between Maruti Ertiga and Innova Crysta.

Features

  • 130hp, 1.6 litre mHawk diesel engine
  • Expected price range – 10-15 lakh
  • Expected to be launch in the first half of 2018

5. Mahindra Rexton

Mahindra Rexton

The all new Mahindra Rexton is built on a new body on frame chassis. Now looking better and lighter than the vehicle it will replace.

Features

  • Projector headlamps with LED DRLs, slim hexagonal grille, LED fog, 20-inch alloy wheels
  • Interior has a 9.2 inch HD touch screen, soft touch plastics, quilted Nappa leather upholstery
  • 2.2 litre diesel engine, automatic gearbox, all-wheel drive

6. Datsun Go Cross

This is going to the Japanese brand’s premium offering, the Datsun Go Cross is based on the 7 seater Go+ MPV, however, it comes with more muscular looks than Go+ MPV.

Features

  • 6.75 inch touch screen, AM/FM, MP3, USB, Aux-in, Bluetooth, smartphone connectivity

7. BMW X2

It will be the sixth SUV from BMW. It will share UKL platform with that of X1 and is designed to be sportier and 49mm shorter and 69mm lower than X1. It will compete with the likes of Range Rover Evoque.

Features

  • 190hp, 2.0 litre petrol engine with front wheel drive
  • 190hp, 2.0 litre diesel engine with all four wheel drive
  • Expected to be launch in the mid 2018

8. Maruti Ertiga

It is expected to be slightly wider and longer than the model it will replace with more space at the back.

Features

  • 1.5 litre diesel engine will replace the previous Fiat’s 1.3 litre diesel engine
  • 16-inch wheels
  • Expected to launch in the mid 2018

9. TaTa Tiago & Tata Tigor

All-electric versions of the Tigor compact sedan and Tiago hatchback was recently spotted at 2018 Auto Expo.

Features

  • These EVs will be powered by 3 phase AC induction motor
  • Peak output of 30kW@4500rpm (approx. 40hp)
  • Expected price range – 10 Lakh
  • Expected to be launch in the mid 2018

10. Bentley Continental GT

The 3rd generation sporty Grand Tourer utilizes Porsche-developed MSB (Modular Standard Drive train) platform. The same that has been used in the new Porsche Panamera.

Features

  • 48 volt electric active roll control system from Bentayga
  • Propulsion – 6.0 litre, twin turbocharged W12 petrol engine
  • 0-100 kmph in 3.7 secs
  • Top speed of 333 kmph
  • Expected to be launch in early 2018
