In a bid to expand its India portfolio, Triumph has added yet another motorcycle to its Roadster and Supersports category – the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. The Street Triple 765 RS now becomes the most heavily specced bike yet in India from the British manufacturer. Launched at Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the RS version of the existing 765 S costs a premium Rs 1.84 lakh over the present motorcycle. For the additional money you put in, you get high-performance, a segment above upgrades in the 2017 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.

The motorcycle’s 765cc engines pumps out max power of 123hp and a peak torque of 77Nm – a jump of 10hp and 4Nm, respectively over its standard trim. Moving on with the updates, the 765 RS gets fully-adjustable Showa Big Piston forks at front and Ohlins STX40 monoshock suspension setup at the rear. To keep its ride quality supple, it gets track-focussed Pirelli Supercorsa tyres. Haulting the bike in no time is the Brembo’s M50 monoblock brake system. The silver-finished exhaust of the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS certainly garners the attention from side and rear. These are segment-first features as such features were earlier seen only in the high-end, 1.0-litre motorcycles.

To boost its visual appeal, the Street Triple 765 RS ditches the analogue-digital setup of the S version for a gorgeous high resolution colour screen. It gets five driving modes and two exclusive shades – Matt Silver Ice and Phantom Black metallic. The motorcycle is the lightest in the segment weighing just 166kg.

Presently, the bike maker has 14 dealership outlets in the country and it plans to further extend them to 17 by the end of this year.
