Current Offers on New Cars For Car Buyers in December 2021
With the month of December, the end of the year is here. Now, usually, carmakers have this tradition of offering the best of deals in this particular month to sell off the year-end stocks in order to clear their inventory to make way for the models of new year make. However, this year, the industry if already suffering from the shortage of semiconductor chips, which has led to a common problem of supply chain with limited dispatches of new cars to showrooms.
However, to make sure that they are not left with any pending stock, the carmakers are offering decent deals in the month of December, which are still lucrative for many new car buyers. Following are the various offers and discounts on selective models by all the prominent mass-market car makers in India:
Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki is rapidly losing its market share in the premium end of the mass-market, due to the arrival of fresher and newer generation models from rival car makers. However, the core strength of the number one car maker still lies in its lineup of compact and entry level cars, which are available with the following offers:
- Alto 800 – All the variants of the Alto 800 are available with a Rs 30,000 cash discount and Rs 15,000 exchange bonus.
- S-Presso – A cash discount of Rs 15,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 is standard across the entire range of S-Presso.
- Eeco – The compact people mover is offered with a Rs 15,000 cash discount and a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
- WagonR – The tall boy compact car is available with a Rs 20,000 cash discount and a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
- Celerio – Even the newly launched Celerio is up for grabs with a cash discount of Rs 5,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000.
- Swift – The cash discounts for the new Swift are Rs 20,000 for the LXI and VXI variants and Rs 15,000 for the ZXI and ZXI+ variants. A Rs 15,000 exchange bonus is standard across the lineup.
- Dzire – The offers for this best-selling sub-compact sedan are Rs 10,000 cash discount and Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
- Vitara Brezza – One of the consistent sellers for Maruti Suzuki, this compact SUV too is available with a Rs 10,000 cash discount and Rs 15,000 exchange bonus.
- Ignis – The most affordable offering from NEXA outlets is up for sale with Rs 5,000 cash discount and Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
- Baleno – The cash discounts for the Baleno are Rs 15,000 for Sigma, Rs 20,000 for Delta, Zeta and Alpha and Rs 10,000 for all CVT variants. An additional Rs 10,000 exchange bonus is common for all variants.
- Ciaz – The Ciaz is also available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000.
- S-Cross – The low-selling crossover is being offered with a Rs 20,000 cash discount and Rs 25,000 exchange bonus.
There is an additional corporate discount of Rs 2,500-3,000 on selected models as well. However, the offerings from Maruti Suzuki which are exempted from discounts are Ertiga, XL6 and all the CNG-powered versions of its cars.

Hyundai
Hyundai is currently giving discounts and offers primarily for its sub-four metre compact mass-market offerings only, which are as follows:
- Santro – The underperforming Santro is available with an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000 for all the variants. There are cash discounts as well, with Rs 10,000 for the Era petrol variant and Rs 25,000 for the other petrol-powered variants.
- Grand i10 Nios and Aura – The 1.2-litre petrol-powered variants of both these cars are available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000, exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. The same exchange and corporate discounts are available for the turbo-petrol variants as well, however, the cash discount for it is more at Rs 35,000. The diesel-powered versions are not available with any offers. The CNG variants of both these cars are offered only with a Rs 10,000 exchange bonus and Rs 5,000 corporate offer.
- i20 – The 1.2-litre petrol and N-Line variants of the i20 are not available with any offers. However, for the diesel and IMT Turbo variants, the offers are Rs 10,000 exchange bonus and Rs 5,000 corporate offer. There is an additional cash discount of Rs 25,000 for the IMT Turbo variants.
All the variants of Venue, Verna, Creta, Tucson, Alcazar and Elantra are not available with any kind of offers.
Tata Motors
Like Hyundai, Tata Motors is also providing certain discounts on half of its model lineup, which are as follows:
- Tiago – A cash discount of Rs 10,000 is standard across the entire range of Tiago. There are different exchange bonuses on offer as well – Rs 10,000 for the XZ, XZ Plus and all AMT variants and Rs 15,000 for XT and XT Option.
- Tigor – The sedan version of the Tiago is also available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and exchange bonus of Rs 15,000.
- Nexon – While all the petrol-powered variants of Nexon can be had with a certain corporate discount, the diesel-powered variants are available with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000
- Nexon EV – Only the range-topping variants are available with an exchange bonus, which is Rs 10,000 for the XZ+ and Rs 15,000 for the XZ+ Lux.
- Harrier – There is an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 for the Dark Edition variants and Rs 40,000 for all the other variants
- Safari – All the variants of the flagship Safari are available with an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000.
Apart from these offers mentioned above, there is an additional SBI YONO referral app discount of Rs 3,000 on Tiago, Tigor and Altroz and Rs 5,000 on Harrier. Rest assured, there is no other offer currently on Tigor EV, Altroz, Punch and Tiago NRG.
Honda
Honda is currently offering the most comprehensive of offers in the country among all the carmakers, which are as follows:
- Amaze – The entire lineup of Honda’s highest selling model is available with a corporate discount of Rs 4,000, loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 6,000, the latter of which is applicable only if you are exchanging it with a Honda vehicle only.
- Jazz and WR-V – Both these sub-four metre offerings are available with a cash discount of Rs 10,000, corporate discount of Rs 4,000, exchange bonus of Rs 5000, loyalty bonus of Rs 5,000 and a Honda-to-Honda exchange bonus of Rs 9,000.
- City – Both fourth and fifth generation models of the Honda City are available with a Rs 8,000 corporate discount of Rs 5,000 loyalty bonus and Rs 9,000 Honda-to-Honda exchange bonus. In addition, the fifth-generation City is also available with a Rs 7,500 cash discount and Rs 15,000 exchange bonus.
Mahindra
Mahindra is on a roll with its two of the latest offerings, Thar and XUV700, both of which are available with immensely long waiting periods. However, some of its readily available SUVs are offered with decent discounts, which are as follows:
- XUV300 – All the variants of the XUV300 are offered with a Rs 25,000 exchange bonus, a cash discount – Rs 15,000 for W6 and W8 variants and Rs 30,000 for W8 (O), and free accessories of Rs 5,000 for W6 and W8 and Rs 10,000 for W8 (O).
- Scorpio – An exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 is offered on all the variants. The S5 variant, in addition, also gets Rs 15,000 worth of free accessories.
- Marazzo – Only a cash discount of Rs 20,000 is available for all the variants of Marazzo.
No offers are available for Thar, XUV700, Bolero, Bolero Neo and KUV100.

Renault
All the models from Renault available in India are available with some amazing deals, which are as follows:
- Kwid – Except for the base RXE variant, rest of the variants can be had with a cash discount of Rs 10,000 and corporate discount of Rs 10,000. The additional exchange bonus is Rs 10,000 for 0.8-litre variants and Rs 15,000 for the 1.0-litre variants.
- Triber – All the variants are offered with an exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 and corporate discount of Rs 10,000 as standard. In addition, the RXT variant is also available with a Rs 10,000 cash discount.
- Duster – The offers standard across the range of Duster are Rs 50,000 exchange bonus and Rs 30,000 corporate bonus. Also, except the RXZ variant, all the other variants are offered with a Rs 50,000 cash discount.
- Kiger – A loyalty bonus of Rs 10,000 and corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000 is available across the range of this compact SUV.
Toyota
Toyota is offering discounts and offers from the Maruti Suzuki-sourced products like Glanza and Urban Cruiser, and not its original lineup which includes Innova Crsyta, Fortuner, Camry and Vellfire:
- Glanza – The offers standard across the range are Rs 10,000 cash discount, Rs 2,000 corporate discount and Rs 10,000 exchange bonus.
- Urban Cruiser – All the variants are available with a Rs 15,000 exchange bonus.
Nissan
Apart from Magnite, all the cars from Nissan and Datsun range are available with more than one offer, which are as follows:
- Kicks – All the variants of the Kicks SUV are offered with an online booking bonus of Rs 5,000 and corporate discount of Rs 10,000. In addition, there are cash discounts – Rs 10,000 for 1.5-litre and Rs 15,000 for turbo-petrol variants, and an exchange bonus – Rs 20,000 for 1.5-litre and Rs 70,000 for turbo-petrol variants.
- Datsun red-GO, Go and Go Plus – All the three cars from the Datsun range are offered with a Rs 20,000 cash discount. The additional exchange bonus is Rs 15,000 for the redi-GO and Rs 20,000 for the Go and GO Plus.
