2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 S

After a long pause, the Ducati Streetfighter nameplate made a comeback, and how! Say hello to the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 S, which is touted to be the naked roadster version of the mighty Panigale V4 S. This is one huge thing to say, which brings in a lot of hopes and expectations from the new flagship roadster from Ducati. Thankfully, the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 S has managed to live up to the tall expectations enthusiasts had attached with it.

Here are all the important aspects of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S which one should know about:

Design: It actually looks like a Panigale without fairing

Unlike the previous generation version, the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 S truly looks like a naked version of the flagship super sport, which right now is the Panigale. Ducati has retained the muscular fuel tank as well as pointy and minimalist tail section of the Panigale for the Streetfighter.

In addition, this is the first road-legal roadster to come fitted with winglets on its sides, which enhance the already excellent aerodynamic design of the motorcycle. However, it misses out on the full fairing bodywork and gets a super sleek LED headlamp at the front. These changes do make the Ducati Streetfighter a very aggressive looking motorcycle in the process.

Engine: Makes the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S the most powerful naked roadster

Ducati has also retained the four-stroke, liquid cooled, Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4, 1103cc engine from the Panigale for the Streetfighter V4 S. This engine has been engineered on the lines of Ducati’s Moto GP-spec Desmosedici V4 engine, by having the similar dimensions and geometry. This makes the new Streetfighter V4 S the first four naked roadster from Ducati to have a four cylinder engine under its bodywork.

This engine has been retuned substantially to suit the aggressive character of the Streetfighter V4 S, and here, it makes 208 bhp of maximum power and 123 Nm of maximum torque. These are some really peaky figures for a flagship naked roadster, which makes the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S the most powerful roadster in the current times.

The braking combination too is of top-class level, with the combination of dual 330mm disc brakes at front and single 245mm disc brake with Brembo Stylema calipers.
