The bookings for Ford Freestyle are open. The car will be powered by 1.2-litre 96 hp petrol and 1.5-litre 100 hp diesel engines.
Ford India is geared up to launch the all-new Freestyle, the cross-hatchback in the country. The Ford Freestyle launch date is confirmed; the car will be launched on 18th April, 2018. Already the Ford dealers have started accepting bookings for the Freestyle cross-hatch.
Ford has tied-up with Amazon India to promote 100 units of Ford Freestyle on its portal. Amazon India will promote the Freestyle on its portal on 14th April, 2018, 2:00 pm onwards which will give car buyers an option to book the car by paying a sum of Rs. 10,000 through Amazon’s certified payment options.
Ford Freestyle Exterior
The design of the Ford Freestyle takes inspirations from the crossovers and there is this perfect blend of a hatchback platform wearing a crossoverish attire. Features like skid plate, grille, new bonnet, blacked-out headlamps, alloy wheels, metallic roof rails and body cladding give the Freestyle an aggressive stance. Additionally, the bigger and wider 185/60 R15 wheels are another key highlight of the car introduced to make the ride and handling more confident.
Compared to the sibling Figo hatchback, Ford Freestyle gets more ground clearance of 15 mm. Moreover, it also carries advanced steering and suspension set-up.

Ford Freestyle Engine & Specifications
Under Ford Freestyle’s hood resides either a new Dragon-series 1.2L petrol engine or a 1.5L diesel engine. The petrol engine tosses a maximum power of 96 hp at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 120 Nm at 4,250 rpm, with the claimed fuel efficiency being of 19 kmpl. The diesel Freestyle on the other hand churns maximum power of 100 hp at 3,750 rpm and maximum torque of 215 Nm at 1,750-3,000 rpm. The ARAI specific fuel efficiency for the diesel Freestyle is 24.4 kmpl.
Both the powertrains will be offered in a 5-speed manual transmission, however the automatic transmission is expected to be introduced at a later date for the petrol variants. Moreover, the fuel tank capacity of the petrol and diesel trims are read 42 and 40 litres respectively.
Ford Freestyle Variants
The cross-hatchback, Ford Freestyle will be offered in four variants each for the petrol and diesel engines. The variant list includes Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. The base trim i.e. the Ambiente comes with safety features like ABS with EBD, three-point rear seat belts, dual-front airbags, reverse parking sensors and rear fog lamps.
Ford Freestyle Colors
Ford has offered the Freestyle in six monotone color options that include Canyon Ridge, Moondust Silver, Smoke Grey, White Gold, Absolute Black and Oxford White. In addition, the company is also offering a roof wrap and body strip as accessories.
