New Honda Jazz 2020 BS6 Overview
The much-awaited premium hatchback from Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) was recently introduced in India. The all-new refreshed Jazz gets new premium styling, a new ZX trim along with many segment-first features. The car maker has ensured that the 2020 Honda Jazz is made with sheer perfection to achieve modern sporty styling, aerodynamic efficiency, advanced technology, class-leading cabin space and a full range of safety features.
For quite sometime, Honda has been experimenting with the Jazz to capture the potential market share, which is currently dominated by the likes of Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20. It hasn’t succeeded much in the past in doing so. But, the revamped Jazz definitely has the potential to give a tough competition to the existing premium hatchbacks as well as cars in the range of Rs 7.5 – 10 lakh.
Now, let’s dive deep into the details of Honda Jazz 2020 and understand how cool is this new premium hatchback.
Specifications & Mileage
2020 Honda Jazz is powered by Honda’s highly potent and BS-6 compliant 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. It is offered with gearbox choices in the form of manual and 7-speed CVT transmissions. The 1.2-litre engine of this car delivers maximum power of 90PS @ 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 110 Nm @ 4,800 rpm.
The 5-speed manual transmission trims of New Jazz deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of 16.6 kmpl and its automatic trims offer mileage of 17.1 kmpl. To make the driving experience more delightful in the CVT trims, Honda has equipped the segment-first race-inspired steering wheel, which is mounted with paddle shifters. This new upgrade in the CVT trims is truly applaudable and not to forget, the CVT trims of the Jazz accounted for around 70% of its total sales last year. The buyers are very likely to admire this change.
Inside, the New Jazz can be felt very spacious, premium and comfortable. An array of advanced interior features definitely make the 2020 Jazz a pleasant car to drive or to accommodate in. The notable features inside the new Jazz include automatic AC with touchscreen control panel, new soft touchpad dashboard, multi-information combimeter with LCD display and ECO ASSIST™ Ambient Rings, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, telephony and voice controls, engine start/stop button, Honda Smart Key System with keyless remote. Furthermore, the New Jazz also comes with a very convenient and large 354 litres of boot space.
The new Jazz has always carried ‘no-nonsense’ exteriors. Its refined avatar gets several new features that certainly convince you to adore the car. The key exterior features of Honda Jazz 2020 include new chrome accentuated high gloss black grill at the front, advanced LED headlamps with DRL, new LED fog lamps, signature rear LED wing light and newly designed front & rear bumpers. Added to this, the new Jazz becomes the first car in its segment to come equipped with one touch electric sunroof.
