Renault Kwid Facelift Launched In India At Rs 2.83 Lakh | Gets 8-inch Unit

Just a day after its rival Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was launched, Renault unleashed the facelift of the Kwid. The car is aggressively priced at Rs 2.83 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi undercutting the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso by a huge margin. Renault Kwid facelift bookings are already underway at the company’s official website at a token amount of Rs 5,000. After 4 years, the restyled car looks fresh while the prices have marginally increased in due course.

Appearance

That’s where you will find the whole difference in the new Kwid. It gets a completely redesigned front and rear real estate. It includes split headlamp cluster with LED DRLs, a restyled bumper, new sleek grill, alloy wheel kinda wheel cover design.  Side profile continues to remain the same, however, the rear gets LED treatment in the tail lamps. Reflectors are now integrated in the bumpers.

Cabin

Barring a few things, the cabin of the Renault Kwid facelift more or less remains the same. Unchanged dimensions mean headroom, shoulder room and legroom remains the same. The instrument cluster has improved now and features dot matrix display now. The Triber-sourced 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adds a premium touch to Kwid’s cabin.

Engine

The two engines remain the same – a 1.0-litre and 0.8-litre petrol engine. The smaller one puts out 54PS / 72Nm of max output while the bigger one does 68PS / 90Nm. Both the engines get an option of a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT transmission.
