Tata Nexon EV Launched at Rs 13.99 lakh in India

Tata Motors has launched Tata Nexon EV at an introductory price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). However, the top-end variant of this electric SUV is tagged at Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Available in three variants, XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX, the Nexon EV will initially be sold in 22 cities. The specs of this e-SUV sound amazing as it can be charged up to 80% in just one hour with its fast DC charger. Moreover, it’s certified by ARAI for 300+ km range on a single charge.

The car also ensures commendable performance. Its electric motor coupled to IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery churns out 129PS of maximum power and 245Nm of maximum torque. This motor is mated to an automatic transmission for hassle-free driving.

First EV to be based on – Ziptron –Tata Motors’ latest electric vehicle technology architecture, Nexon EV receives 35 app-based connected features. Made available in 3 shades – Signature Teal Blue, Moonlit Silver & Glacier White – Tata Nexon EV can also be charged from any 15 amp plug point. The three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor is backed by an 8-year/1.6 lakh km warranty.

Offered in dual driving modes namely Drive mode and Sport mode, Nexon EV’s premium equipment-list comprise of automatic headlamps, contrast dual-tone roof colour, fog lamps with cornering ability, automatic rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and others on the outside.

Added to this, the cabin comes studded with features like leather-wrapped steering wheel, wearable key, keyless entry, push-button start, premium leatherette seats, electric tailgate, 7-inch touch-screen infotainment, fully automatic climate control and more. For maximum protection, the Nexon EV comes with safety gears such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and cornering stability control, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats and camera-based reverse park assist and many more.
