Emflux One Electric Sports Bike Unveiled At Auto Expo 2018

Emflux, a Bangalore-based company, has unveiled its Emflux One electric sports motorcycle at the Indian Auto Expo 2018. The first concept of the motorcycle was showcased in early 2017, the bike claim to have an acceleration of 0-100kmph in 3 seconds. With its amazing performance, it matches the Ninja 650 in power and Triumph Tiger 800 when it comes to torque. The company claims the bike can achieve the above performance through liquid cool induction motor.

The Model One sports bike can reach the top speed of 200kph. The top speed of the motorcycle looks quite impressive, however, the similar acceleration can only be found in superbikes. It is likely to have 68bhp of power 84Nm of torque. The company has also claimed that it will go up to 200 kms with a single charger and battery pack is air-cooled and features battery cells from Samsung.

The company claims that 80 percent of its battery can be charged in just 36 minutes with a fast charger, while standard charger will do the same job in 3 hours. Its other important features include single-sided swing warm, dual channel ABS as standard. Emflux is also offering Ohlins suspension as an option.

Founded by Varun Mittal, Ankit Khatry and Vinay Raj, the company looks to target premium customers in the country. The electric technologies have been drumming the headlines in the past year courtesy the government’s resolution to transform Indian automotive industry to an all-electric one by 2030. Furthermore, the government is helping such companies work on these technologies for the betterment.

On the same lines, various startups in India are working on electric vehicles. In the past few years, various technology companies have emerged. Companies like Tork Motorcycles and Ather energy are two such names who have introduced electric vehicles in the market.
