Hyundai Launches ‘Advanced Premium Sedan’ ELANTRA with New BS6 Engine

Hyundai has powered the new Elantra premium sedan with the BS6 diesel and petrol engines.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has launched the much-awaited ‘Advanced Premium Sedan’, Hyundai Elantra with the all-new BS6 compliant diesel and petrol engines. These Hyundai’s made-for-future engines offer the customers a perfect combination of performance and efficiency. The price of the BS6 diesel engine powered Elantra premium sedan starts at Rs 17,60,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the price of its petrol counterpart starts at Rs 18,70,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The all-new Elantra is a combination of opulence with intelligent driving dynamics made for the Indian car owners who seek for advanced technology, comfort, space, safety, and ergonomics with a new approach. Hyundai Elantra BS6 is available in both diesel and petrol engines. The petrol trim prices start at Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the prices for the diesel trim start at Rs 18.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine & Specs

Hyundai Elantra 2020 gets an all-new 1.5-litre U2 CRDi BS6 diesel engine that produces maximum power of 115 PS at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 25.5 KGM at 1500-2750 rpm. Transmission choices available with this engine are 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

There is also a 2.0-litre petrol BS6 diesel engine on offer that can produce maximum power of 152 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 19.6 KGM at 4000 rpm. The petrol powertrain is also linked either to a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed manual transmission.
