New Hero Maestro Edge 125 Displayed At The Auto Expo 2018

India’s largest two-wheeler company, Hero MotoCorp today unveiled the Hero Maestro Edge 125 at the Auto Expo 2018 happening in Greater Noida. The more powerful variant of Maestro Edge is powered by the 125cc, i3s engine that is capable of producing 8.5bhp and 10Nm of power and torque respectively. The scooter is endowed with disc brakes, H-shaped LED taillight, new digital-analogue console, alloy wheels and telescopic forks along with convenient mobile charging point. The Hero Maestro Edge 125 price is not revealed by the company. Some other important features comprise of external fuel filling with remote opening, boot light, integrated braking system and front disc brake as an optional fitment.

In the premium segment, Maestro Edge competes with Honda Grazia and the lately unleashed TVS NTorq 125. The advanced mechanism used in the new 125cc scooter is the very familiar start-stop technology, currently used by the company in its motorcycles, which will now feature in this Hero brand scooter. The new i3S engine (stands idle Stop-Start System) is coupled to a constantly variable belt-type transmission for improved performance under urban conditions. Its 125cc single-energy cylinder engine gives out a good 8.7bhp of power at 6750rpm and 10.2Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm. Some more features include the likes of side stand indicator, service reminder, pass switch, external fuel filling etc.

The ongoing 110cc variant of Hero Maestro Edge produces 8bhp of maximum power at 7500 rpm alongside a peak torque of 9Nm at 5500rpm. The price of the regular version starts from Rs. 54,107 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes up to Rs. 55,191 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter is known for its decent mileage in its category with numbers reading 53kmpl.

Hero MotoCorp’s new scooter range is developed in-house at the company’s Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) facility located in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
