2021 Honda Amaze Facelift variants comparison

One of the most significant volume sellers for Honda in India, the Amaze has received its first makeover. Like before, the new Honda Amaze is continued to be offered in three different variant options – E, S and VX.

The Honda Amaze has retained both the engine options – 1.2-liter four cylinder petrol (90 bhp power/110 Nm torque) and 1.5-liter four cylinder diesel (100 bhp power/200 Nm torque). Both these engine options are offered with 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox options.

Here’s a comprehensive description of all the variants of the new Honda Amaze, with the features they have on offer:

Honda Amaze E

Available with: 1.2-liter petrol with 5-speed manual, 1.5-liter diesel with 5-speed manual

Price: Rs. 6.32 lakh (petrol-manual), Rs. 8.66 lakh (diesel-manual)

As expected, the Honda Amaze E variant is a pared down variant, which is stripped off a lot of creature comforts and packs in only the basics. It does get the safety essentials, in the form of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors.

In terms of comfort and convenience features, the Honda Amaze E gets front and rear power windows, manual air conditioner and informative MID display in the instrument console.

Price: Rs. 7.16 lakh (petrol-manual), Rs. 8.06 lakh (petrol-CVT) and Rs. 9.26 lakh (diesel-manual)

If you are not adhered strictly to a lower budget price and can extend more, the S variant of the Honda Amaze is definitely worth the premium it asks over the E variant. It gets a whole lot of visual enhancements and feature additions over the very basic looking E variant.

On the outside, the halogen headlamps of the Honda Amaze S get daytime running LEDs. The newly introduced highlights in the form of new chrome grille and chrome garnish on front and rear bumpers make it look slightly more premium. The 15-inch wheels here get full wheel caps, while the roof gets shark-fin antenna at the back. In addition, the outer rear view mirrors are electrically adjustable and foldable and come integrated with LED turn indicators.

Step inside the Honda Amaze S, and you are welcomed by a better-equipped cabin, with the new silver highlights on the dashboard, steering wheel and door panels starting from this variant. This variant adds in more comforts like a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth support, tilt adjustable steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls on it, height adjustable driver’s seat, adjustable front seat headrests, rear center armrest with cup holders and remote central locking. The manual variants also benefit with leather wrapped gear lever.

The Honda Amaze VX is the only variant which is available with all the possible engine-gearbox combinations offered in this compact sedan. The variant adds even more premium features over the S variant, which make it the worthiest option to go for.

On the outside, the Honda Amaze VX gets LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The outer door handles too are finished in chrome here.
