
One of the most loved entry-level cars of all time, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR is having a commanding presence in the small car space for more than two decades now. The facelifted version of the third-generation WagonR is now here, which has received new powertrain options and a new range-topping ZXI+ variant. Prices

The pricing of the range of the new Maruti Suzuki WagonR starts at Rs 5.40 lakh and go up to Rs 7.10 lakh. It is now available in four variants – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. In the manual version, the LXI and VXI variants are available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and a CNG-powered version of it. The ZXI and ZXI+ variants are available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine.
On the other hand, the AMT range comprises of VXI variant with the 1.0-litre engine and ZXI and ZXI+ with the 1.2-litre engine. The top-spec ZXI+ variant is also available with a dual-tone paint option for an additional Rs 12,000 in both manual and automatic versions.

Engine and Transmission

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is available with two naturally-aspirated petrol engine options. The LXI and VXI variants are available with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 67 PS of maximum power and 89 Nm of maximum torque. Then there is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which churns out 89.7 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of maximum torque. The 1.0-litre petrol engine is also available with the CNG version, which makes 65.7 PS of power and 89 Nm of torque. Both the engine options are available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Safety and Security Features

Here, the LXI variant of the WagonR now comes with dual front airbags as standard, apart from ABS, EBD and reverse parking sensors. The VXI variant gets a couple of decent add-ons like remote keyless entry and hill hold assist, with the latter available only in AMT variants. The same list is there in the ZXI, but the ZXI+ variant also get front fog lamps and rear wiper, washer and defogger.

Comfort and Convenience Features
