Honda Amaze on the other hand, is though quite old among the three, is still relying on its practicality and trying to survive the tough competition. Maruti Dzire Comparison

The 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is based on the Heartect platform which also underpins the very successful hatchback, Baleno. The styling change in the Dzire by the manufacturer is surely a thumbs up. One glance at the sedan is enough to tell you that it’s the far better version of the vehicle as compared to its older one. Overall, the design of the Dzire is curvier and rounded bonnet goes well with the large and refreshed grille along with chrome accents. Fog lights too get the touch of chrome below while the headlights are smartly shaped and incorporated with LED DRLs. The rear is more rounded with new tail lights with neat circular LED detailing. A bumpy strip of chrome is placed between the taillights while the 2 reflectors have been modestly fixed at the bottom of the bumper.

Honda Amaze Comparison

Coming to Honda Amaze which is the oldest among them all, the car was first introduced in the year 2013 and then reintroduced in the year 2016. The limited edition variant with few tweaks and changes was launched in 2017 named as Honda Amaze Privilege Edition. The company is planning to launch its next-generation model by mid-2018. Honda amaze 2016 facelift model features new dual chrome front grille and a bold bumper design that catches the attention of the passer-by. Turn indicators are placed on the OVRMs while the eye-catchy front fog lamps enhance the front looks of the car. Rear gets new and refreshed tail lamps.

Tata Tigor Comparison

Tata Tigor on the outside looks quite attractive and the car maker has done a commendable job in shaping the vehicle. The front of Tigor resembles the Tiago while its smart raising beltline and well-placed sloping roof provide the car a coupe-like appearance. Tail lights are very well shaped and visually connected by a chrome strip, two lights are placed on the lower bumper. So, the overall styling details specify that Tata Tigor is the best looking compact sedan so far.

Interior Comparison

Thing that immediately hits the mind entering the Maruti Swift Dzire is its larger and airier cabin as compared to its older variant. New Dzire gets smart-looking two-toned dashboard and fully equipped 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other things to be liked are slightly soft-cushioned front seats and classy hooded dials.

Honda Amaze on the other hand, is bestowed with new dashboard that makes a big difference in increasing the cabin ambiance. The slim front seats with backrest are very supportive. The car lacks on the technological side as there is no provision for a touchscreen infotainment system.

Tata Tigor has gone to great lengths to uplift its quality. The dash top gets textured finish and fabric inserts on the doors adds to premium details. But that not perfect, some plastics lower down feels somewhat scratchy and there are erratic panel gaps in certain areas like the glovebox lid.

Tata Tigor off course is the best looking car among the three but unfortunately lacks in terms of performance, interior space and many more. So only two challengers are left and the battle seems to be quite close, new 2017 Maruti Dzire is fairly more modern as compared to Honda Amaze and is all set to repeat the success story of its predecessors. Honda Amaze received the facelift last year but received no changes in the engine. So looking at all the three cars, Maruti Swift Dzire wins the battle with new looks and refreshed engine.
