Ever since its launch in 2005, the Maruti Suzuki Swift has changed the perceptions of people towards hatchbacks, by being more youthful in its approach when it comes to design and driving dynamics. The Maruti Suzuki Swift is currently in its third generation version, which was facelifted in 2021 with a couple of new features and a new petrol engine which is more powerful and economic at the same time. Following is a complete bifurcation of all the four variants in which it is available, with all the features and specifications of them:
Variants and Prices
Like most of the offerings from Maruti Suzuki, the Swift is also available in four variants – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+, with prices ranging between Rs 5.90 lakh and Rs 8.77 lakh. Comfort and Convenience Features
The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a decently loaded hatchback for its price. The base LXI variant feels a tad too basic with only front power windows and manual AC. However, the VXI variant is decently equipped with additional features like rear power windows, a music system with four speakers, power-adjustable rearview mirrors and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth controls.
The ZXI variant is the one that feels more value-for-money with features like automatic climate control, alloy wheels, power-foldable rearview mirrors, and a push start-stop button. And then comes the ZXI+ variant, which has fancier features like LED projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs and cruise control.

While the base LXI variant has no infotainment system to talk about, the VXI variant has a 2-DIN audio system with feature-touch controls and four speakers. The higher ZXI and ZXI+ variants get a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto and two additional tweeters, with the feature of voice commands specific for the ZXI+ variant.

Dimensions
The Maruti Suzuki Swift perfectly fits the gap between an entry-level hatchback and a premium sub-four meter hatchback, by measuring 3845 mm long, 1735 mm wide and 1530 mm wide. However, the 268 litres of boot space isn’t too spacious or class-leading.

There are very few hatchbacks that have been able to challenge the supremacy of the Maruti Suzuki Swift. Currently, the Swift competes with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
