TVS Apache RR 310 Bike Launched In India at the price tag of Rs. 2.05 Lakh

TVS Apache RR 310 gets LED Projector Headlights, LED Tail Lamps and LED Turn Indicators. It is claimed to clock 0 – 60 kmph in just 2.93 seconds with the top speed being 160 kmph.

Finally, TVS Motor Company’s much-awaited bike TVS Apache RR 310 is launched in India at the price tag of Rs. 2.05 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The company has priced the new Apache RR 310 at a competitive price tag keeping in mind the rivals in the 300 cc sports bike segment. Bookings of this virile sports bike will start by the end of December and deliveries are supposed to commence thereafter.

Earlier, the Apache RR 310 was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo as the TVS Akula 310 concept motorcycle. TVS engineers have perhaps brainstormed a lot to build the new Apache RR 310 as a suitable motorcycle both for daily commuters as well as racing enthusiasts. The RR 310 motorbike gets some styling cues from the BMW G 310 R, which is manufactured by TVS Motor Company at its Hosur facility.

With the launch of TVS Apache RR 310, the company has now positioned itself at one of the most popular entry-level performance motorcycle segment in India. Designed magnificently and equipped with a high-powering mill, the all-new Apache RR 310 is now all set to challenge rivals like KTM 390 Duke, KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar and Benelli 302 R. Introduced as TVS Motor Company’s global product, the RR 310 motorbike will be offered in two exciting colors – Red and Matte Black.

Design is going to be the USP of the RR 310 as it is fabricated with premium components to amplify the cosmetic appeal and performance. It gets Kayaba’s upside down front forks and also a rear monoshock. For control and braking, it is armed with a 300 mm petal disc at the front supported by a radial caliper from Bybre and a 240 mm rear disc featured with dual-channel ABS. The instrument panel is quite contemporary and fully digital. Added to this, RR 310’s front is gets LED projector headlights while the rear features an LED tail lamp. The premium feel is further enriched by the LED turn indicators.

Compared to the Akula 310 concept that we saw at the 2016 Auto Expo, the front silhouette of the Apache RR 310 hasn’t changed much, however, the rear profile has undergone some tweaks, and especially the LED tail lamp is a completely new feature which we never expected at this price tag. Overall, the rear is now sleek unlike the showcased Akula 310.

TVS Apache RR 310 Performance

The company has carved out the RR 310 very nicely to attain the segment-best aerodynamic performance. It is based on a trellis frame and its overall weight is measured 169.5 kilograms. TVS claims that during tests the bike was able clock 163 kmph and it has caliber can take a sprint of 0 – 60 kmph in just 2.93 secons.

What makes the TVS Apache RR 310 more interesting is its 312 cc, 1-cylinder, four-valve reverse-inclined engine that produces maximum power of 33.5 bhp at 9700 rpm and maximum torque of 27.3 Nm at 7700 rpm.
