Lamborghini has launched the most extreme and aggressive variant of the Huracan lineup in India – the Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologato). The Lamborghini Huracan STO has been launched at a price of Rs. 4.99 crore (ex-showroom, India), thus making it the most expensive variant of Huracan on sale now.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO: Design

While the Lamborghini Huracan STO is based on the standard Huracan, there are a number of design highlights which make it look substantially different from the latter. With 75 per cent of its body made up of carbon fiber, the bonnet, front fenders and front bumper come together to form a single ‘Cofango’ part, the whole of which again is finished in carbon fiber. This front bonnet comes with ducts to channel air into the extended front splitter which prevents frontal lift and turbulence in wheel arches. However, this whole mechanism eats up the luggage bay at the front.

In addition, the rear haunches of the Lamborghini Huracan STO come with fins to channel air into intakes. There is also a massive boot mounted spoiler, which though misses out on active aero flaps, but gets three fixed levels which need to be adjusted manually. The front and rear tracks have been widened too, and to control yaw and body roll, the back of the supercar comes fitted with a huge dorsal fin.

The Lamborghini Huracan STO comes with dual tone paint scheme with mild graphics in contrast color to accentuate its sporty appeal. This particular variant of the Huracan tips the weighing scales at 1,399 kg of dry weight, thus making it 83 kg lighter than Huracan Evo AWD and 43 kg lighter than Huracan Performante.

The Lamborghini Huracan STO retains the dual tone treatment of the exterior for its cabin as well. The extensive use of carbon fiber has been carried out for the interior, with additional sporty bits like sports seats and three different drive modes – road-oriented STO, track-oriented Trofeo and rain-oriented Pioggia. In addition to these, the car also gets full TFT colored instrument console and a vertically laid 8.4-inch infotainment system with human-machine interface (HMI).

The Lamborghini Huracan STO gets the same 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine, which here makes a maximum power output of 630 bhp and a peak torque output of 565 Nm. The loss in torque output over the other variants of the Huracan is masked up by the lesser dry weight, thereby resulting in different power to weight ratio. The top speed of the Huracan STO is capped at 310 kmph, whereas it can reach 100 kmph from standstill in just 3 seconds. The transmission unit employed in this variant is a 7-speed LDF dual clutch automatic gearbox.

2021 Lamborghini Huracan STO: Price

Priced at Rs. 4.99 crore (ex-showroom, India), the Lamborghini Huracan STO is an extreme road-legal machine preferably designed for track outings, by recording best of lap times and testing your skills at fast stretches and corners.
