2021 Honda Amaze Facelift Launched in India

Honda has given a mild refresh to one of its best-selling models in the Indian car market, the Amaze compact sedan. This is the first facelift which the current second generation Honda Amaze has received. The major changes in the new Honda Amaze are limited to cosmetic enhancements and revisions to variant lineup. Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the new Honda Amaze now sees an entry price point of Rs. 6.32 lakh

Honda has retained the overall design of the outgoing Amaze for the new facelifted model. However, there are slight changes to the front fascia, in the form of a revised chrome grille with additional slats, new LED projector headlamps and daytime running LEDs.

The front bumper too has been restyled with new fog lamp housings, which now accommodate new LED fog lamps and get chrome garnish around them. The other major changes on the outside are new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, C-shaped LED inserts in the tail lamp and chrome garnish on the outer door handles and rear bumper.

Like the exterior design, Honda has carried forward the dashboard layout and panels on the inside of the Amaze. However, the dual tone black and beige cabin of the Honda Amaze now gets silver accents on the steering wheel and dashboard. In addition, the top-spec VX variants now get different looking premium beige seat fabrics. The other minor changes introduced in the cabin are front map lamps, leather wrapped gear levers in manual variants and chrome surrounds for the AC vents.

There is no feature addition in the new Honda Amaze, and the compact sedan continues to get kit including 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, push button start, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, automatic climate control, height adjustment for driver’s seat and reverse camera.

2021 Honda Amaze – Powertrains

The new Honda Amaze continues to be offered with the same set of petrol and diesel engines of the outgoing model, with both of them available with the choices of 5-speed manual and CVT gearboxes. While the 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine makes 90 bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque, the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine produces power and torque outputs of 100 bhp and 200 Nm respectively. The diesel engine with the CVT gearbox has detuned power and torque outputs – 80 bhp and 160 Nm respectively.

2021 Honda Amaze – Variants and Pricing

The manual version of both petrol and diesel versions of Honda Amaze are available in three different variants – E, S, and VX. While the petrol-CVT combination can be had in S and VX trims as well, the diesel-CVT combination is restricted only for the top-spec VX variant.

The prices of the new Honda Amaze range between Rs. 6.32 lakh for the base petrol-manual E variant and Rs. 11.15 lakh for the top-spec diesel-powered VX CVT version.
